The values you convert

Every calculation on this site runs in your browser using JavaScript. The numbers you enter into the calculator are never transmitted to any server, because there is no server-side calculation to send them to. They are not logged, stored, or retained after you close the page.

This is not a policy commitment we could quietly break — it is how the tool is built. You can verify it by opening your browser's network inspector and watching for requests while you type. There are none.

Accounts and personal data

There are no user accounts. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal information in order to use the calculator. Nothing on this site is placed behind a signup.

If you email us, we hold that correspondence only for as long as it takes to answer you, and we use your address for nothing else.

Cookies and local storage

No tracking cookies are set. The site stores one small preference in your browser's local storage — your choice of light or dark theme — so the page does not flash the wrong colours on your next visit.

That value never leaves your browser and contains nothing that could identify you. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Analytics

If analytics are enabled on this site, they are configured to collect aggregate page-view counts only — no cross-site tracking, no advertising identifiers, and no fingerprinting. Values entered into the calculator are never included in analytics events.

Third parties

This site does not embed advertising networks, social media trackers, or third-party widgets that profile visitors. Web fonts are served from the same domain as the site rather than from a third-party font host, so loading a page does not disclose your visit to anyone else.

Our hosting provider processes standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention. We do not use those logs to build visitor profiles.

Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data, there is generally nothing for us to disclose, correct or delete. If you have emailed us and would like that correspondence removed, ask and we will delete it.

If you are in the EU or UK, you retain your rights under the GDPR regardless. You are welcome to exercise them, though in most cases the honest answer will be that we hold nothing about you.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects how data is handled, the updated date at the top of this page will change and the substantive difference will be described here rather than quietly edited in.
